IMG/PR is a database of plasmid sequences integrated into the Integrated Microbial Genomes & Microbiomes (IMG/M) system. It provides an extensive collection of plasmids, identified across thousands of isolate genomes, SAGs, MAGs, metagenomes, and metatranscriptomes using the geNomad tool. These plasmids are presented within a structured framework encompassing functional annotation and extensive metadata, which includes host taxonomy, similarity to other plasmids, geographic coordinates, and ecosystem information, allowing users to investigate plasmid function and ecology thoroughly.
The sequences and metadata associated with IMG/PR plasmids are organized in the following files available for download:
- IMGPR_plasmid_data.tsv: Metadata related to plasmids in IMG/PR.
- IMGPR_nucl.fna.gz: Nucleotide sequences of plasmids in IMG/PR.
- IMGPR_prot.faa.gz: Sequences of proteins encoded by plasmids in IMG/PR.
