Assembly v3 (07 December 2011) is a draft assembly of 454 gDNA reads. A total of 151 scaffolds and 55.8 Mbp were assembled using Newbler.

This genome sequence and gene prediction of the Cladonia grayi photobiont (Asterochloris sp.) were not determined by the JGI, but were acquired from Ty Wang and Olaf Mueller at Duke U. on December 07 2011. This copy of the genome does not include the mitochondrial or plastid chromosomes or genes. The JGI Annotation Pipeline was used to add additional functional annotation to Duke's scaffolds and gene models.
