v.1.0. (March 4, 2008): The draft assembly release version 1.0 of whole genome shotgun reads was constructed with Arachne, using paired end sequencing reads at an average coverage of 8.74X. After trimming for vector and quality, the sequencing reads assembled into 127 main genome scaffolds totaling 24.3 MB. Roughly half of the genome is contained in 6 scaffolds all at least 1.5 MB in length.

The draft annotation release version 1.0 (17 December 2007) includes a total of 8732 gene models predicted and functionally annotated using the JGI Annotation Pipeline.
